The Stoneline Designs Inc. factory operates out of a 100 year old textile mill in historic Hillsborough, NC. Designer Monte McDermed studied sculpture and carved stone before starting the company in 1988. Contrasting, textural materials are often used together reflecting the designer's sculpture background. A team of dedicated craftsmen and women have developed the skills necessary to texture the materials for this personalized approach to surface treatment. Each piece is built to order allowing specific custom adaptations. By working closely with clients, the original residential table designs have been interpreted for a diverse range of applications including hospitality, corporate and home office.
